About this school
Iroquois Point Elementary became an authorized International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in April 2011. The school offers the Primary Years Program of the International Baccalaureate Organization.
Iroquois Point Elementary believes learning is best done when it is authentic, relevant to the “real” world; and transdisciplinary – where the learning is not confined within the boundaries of traditional subject areas but is supported and enriched by them. Following this IB framework helps to ensure learning is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant. The curriculum framework emphasizes an inquiry-based approach to learning, and computers are available in every classroom.
The school offers Spanish, music, band, and physical education programs. Athletic activities are designed to teach fundamental concepts like teamwork and fair play. Intramurals include basketball, track, volleyball and flag football. Iroquois Point provides many opportunities for families to gather in the celebration of and support for learning.
